Adventures in San Francisco - Hotel G & the Golden Gate Bridge
One of my favorite things about 2016 was all the travel adventures I got to go on with my new husband and other friends. So I thought, better late than never to talk about my honeymoon in San Francisco! I've already written about our awesome day spent wining in Napa Valley, but what I haven't mentioned yet is where we stayed or the fun we had in the city itself.
Hotel G - San Francisco
When we happened upon the Hotel G website while planning our honeymoon, I knew instantly I had to stay there. I would describe the decor is something akin to Madewell stores - cool, clean and unique with a lived-in vibe.
Everything was labelled with catchy phrases like "Rumor has it, the 9th floor is divine" and the letter G in various typography could be found on all printed materials and even in the lobby artwork!
I felt like I had stepped into the Instagram of some of the travel & design bloggers I most admire. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Hotel G.
3 Best Views of the Golden Gate Bridge
Probably the coolest thing about a landmark like the Golden Gate Bridge is how up-close-and-personal you can get to it.
Besides driving across it on our way to Napa Valley, we also rode under and around it on a ferry tour that also passed Alkatraz and gave us a great view of the City by the Bay.
And finally, we couldn't pass up the chance to visit Baker Beach at Golden Gate Park.
San Francisco Eats & Other Sites
The Golden Gate Bridge was far from the only sight we saw while in San Francisco. We also went to Lombard Street, and ventured out to several shops and restaurants in Union Square where we stayed, including of course the Nike store, which was full of very cool displays. We also stopped into Brit + Co headquarters and couldn't miss getting something delicious in Ghirardelli square.
