An Atlanta Weekend Trip

I got very lucky with my roommate freshman year of college. We met through a mutual friend and were happy to find a fun group of girls on the 5th floor of Crosby Hall at Ole Miss.

Our Crosby 5 crew came together for my roommate's wedding this past weekend in Atlanta, and I'm happy to report that both former residents of Crosby room 545 are now married! The bride was beautiful, and the every detail at the venue Flint Hill was nothing short of perfect.

Before and after our time spent at the wedding, my husband and I had a lot of fun in ATL, and I wanted to share a few of our favorite spots from the trip.

The Southern Gentleman

Earlier in the week, I made an Open Table reservation at The Southern Gentleman - and boy was that a great choice! Live music, a mint julep & fried chicken over a brussel sprout Caesar salad was the perfect way to kick off a southern wedding weekend.

Bantam + Biddy

The next morning, we headed over to Lenox Square mall to peruse the Nike store for him & Anthropologie for me, plus prepare for a big day wth a delicious brunch. Bantam + Biddy has an amazing cinnamon French toast with fresh fruit and a side of scrambled eggs.

Intercontinental Hotel Buckhead Atlanta

During the down time between the daytime ceremony and evening reception, we headed back to the Intercontinental Hotel, where I snapped a few pictures. Our room was very well-decorated with peach walls, an abundance of mirrors, silver accents, a beautiful Buckhead view and wall art that was nothing like the typical hotel pieces.

King + Duke

On our final morning in Atlanta, we brunched at King + Duke. They served pretty much the best scrambled eggs I think I've ever had, paired with a cappuccino and yogurt topped with maple, granola & fresh fruit.

While brief, our weekend trip to Atlanta was the perfect getaway. We send our best wishes to the bride & groom and will definitely be back to visit again!
