Francis + Benedict Maxi Skirt
Rarely do I have my Easter outfit planned a month or more in advance, but I knew a Francis + Benedict skirt was the perfect "Sunday best" as soon I as I learned about them on Instagram. Their brightly patterned, flowy skirts are just my style, and their company's mission makes wearing their designs all the more special.
Francis + Benedict is a non-profit whose skirts are handmade by some super talented ladies in the West African country of Togo. In addition empowering these women with meaningful employment, Francis + Benedict explains their "profits are used to resource community leaders in Togo, enabling them to continue projects that benefit orphans, widows, and those suffering in poverty."
When I read the story of the woman whom the the recent line was named after, who happens to be just about my age, I was particularly moved to help spread the word for this brand on social media and my blog. So I encourage you to check out their maxis, midis and minis! I paired mine with a grey Old Navy tank, blue rope necklace and Target aviators, and this is no doubt just the beginning of the many outfits that will come from this special skirt!
