Entryway Redesign with Lulie Wallace Wallpaper
The Inspiration
When we were looking at houses 2 years ago, I really liked the fun, colorful wallpaper entryway in one that we toured. The house we settled on was already well decorated but I knew I wanted to put my own spin on the entryway someday. I started following Talking Walls and reached out to start the process this spring. I sent Polly Ann this Pinterest board and she brought so many pretty samples inspired by it.
But when we got to the Lulie Wallace papers, there was no turning back. I wanted something with a little green to tie into a lot of green decor in the house, while also adding in another new complementary color. The yellow floral “Mary” wallpaper by Lulie Wallace caught my eye.
I was debating between a few options and played around with chatGPT to see what it might look like, ultimately deciding the Mary paper was the one! We ordered with Polly Ann, and within a few weeks the paper was in and the Talking Walls team did an amazing job installing it!
The Result
We already had a chair rail in the space, so we picked a coordinating white paint for under the chair rail, which balances the paper pattern really nicely. We also had the light fixture replaced with this brass trimmed globe and I found a fun scalloped jute Birch Lane carpet to complete the space. We kept the same art we had had before (can’t move Elvis, who Adam picked out at Where is Frances’ tent at Double Decker this spring). I couldn’t love the result more! It’s the perfect, vibrant and fun welcome to our home.
